Mountain Suds is not responsible for any damage caused by misuse, breakage, or not following proper safety instructions when burning candles! Some of these instructions are below, but PLEASE use extreme caution when burning candles!
Candle Burning Tips
GENERAL
1. Remove any packaging and read all instructions.
2. Place in a proper non-flammable holder and on a safe
heat resistant dry surface.
3. Keep away from combustibles.
4. Do not allow the flame to touch any glass surface.
5. Trim wick to 1/8-1/4" before lighting. Smoking or fluttering
may occur if the wick is too long.
6. Keep matches, lighters and lit candles away from children and pets.
7. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
8. Avoid drafts for even burning and keep wick centered.
9. Never leave matches, trimming or combustibles in the wax pool.
10. If wick is too short, push away some wax from the unlit wick. Allow to burn
for a couple hours.
11. Cool the candle in the refrigerator a few minutes before using. This
extends the burning time.
12. Don't leave it in the refrigerator too long or it will put cracks in the candle.
JARS AND VOTIVES
1. For jar candles and votives in holders, keep the
wick trimmed and away from the sides of the jar.
2. If the glass is cracked or broken do not use.
3. Discontinue use when the candle has 1/2" remaining.
This will help to avoid heat damage to your table
or flat surface.
4. To extend burning time, extinguish the flame
when there is a wax pool over the surface.
5. Let it cool and harden, then relight.
6. Do not refill.
